Helen T. Yachymiak Goetz
of Johnson City
Helen T. Yachymiak Goetz, 81, of Johnson City, died Thursday morning, January 5, 2006, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Goetz in 1984; a granddaughter, Melissa Clark; her parents, Louis and Louise Yachymiak; her brothers, Frank, Edward, Louis and John Yachymiak; her sisters, Julia Nowacky, Minnie Olexy, Josephine Konecny, Nellie Dopko. Helen is survived by her children, Donna Hunt, Hubert, N.C., John Goetz and Diana, Binghamton, David and Mary Ellen Goetz, Kirkwood, Janyce Clark, Johnson City; six grandchildren, Brian Hunt, Katie, David and Amy Goetz, Danielle, Ryan Clark; sisters-in-law, Shirley Goetz, Donna Goetz, Carolyn Yachymiak; friends of St. Theresa Club, Helen Perella, Theresa Konecny, Barb Testa, Vicki Mohney, Eve Marusiak, Pat Shelton and Jr. member, Danielle Clark. She was a member of St. James Church, Johnson City. The family wishes to thank the staff of Good Shepherd-Fairview Home and Ross 3 at Lourdes Hospital for the compassionate care given to Helen. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. James Church, Johnson City, Monday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Sunday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Helen may be made to St. James Church Chow Pantry, 147 Main Street, Johnson City, N.Y. 13790.
