James L. Frey
of Endicott
James Lewis Frey, 58, of Endicott, passed away January 31, 2006 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Lewis James Frey, Ariz., and Shirley Jennings, Binghamton. He is survived by his loving wife, Kim; his daughter and son-in-law, Jolynn and Scott Thompson and family, Maine, N.Y.; his sons, John Frey, Binghamton, and James Frey, Endicott; his sisters and brothers, Tina Murray, Michael Murray, Barbara Lewis, Lonnie Murray, Dorothy Rice, Nelson Murray, Stanley and Steve Frey, Ariz.; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim was a well-decorated Vietnam veteran who served in the U.S. Army with the 25th Infantry Division. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 1449, and American Legion Post 82 of Endicott. He was a life member of the Organization of Vietnam Veterans. Jim was a member of the 1st-5th Mech. Infantry, 25th Division Bobcat Society. His wife, children and good friends will miss him and his quick wit. He was a very close brother to all Vietnam veterans, and fully supported any endeavor to assist any veteran in need.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2006, at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott. A full Military Honor Guard will be present at the funeral home. A 21-Gun Salute will be provided at V.F.W. Post 1449, 103 Nanticoke Ave., Endicott, immediately after the services. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 12:00 Noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. At Jim's request, contributions can be made to the Jim and Kim Frey Benefit, c/o V.F.W. Post 1449, 103 Nanticoke Ave., Endicott, N.Y. 13760.
