Dear Barbara and Sydney, I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Jim (we all called him Gabel) at the EastSide Post Office Station. He was a great guy to work with. He had a dry humor that was appreciated by all around him. He will be missed by all of his friends and all of the customers that found him to be a wonderful break in their day.

Jim was our campus mailman for several years. We enjoyed our morning visits with him when he would update us about his trips with his daughter and his horseshoe contests. We were always trying to fatten him up! I will always remember that he was the person that told us about what was going on on 9-11 since he also served as our source of information about what was going on in the world outside of our basement office. We really missed him when he left campus and hoped he had time to enjoy himself. He spoke lovingly of his wife and daughter-they were his treasures!
