Uncle John was a person who would give his right arm for you. He had a very wonderful and full life. He was someone to look up to, even the kids! If you had a problem he knew and would listen. He was very wise. I am sure all the people whom he touched will miss him!

To the Hoch family - I have had the pleasure of John and George's friendship for many years. At work, on the golf course, etc. As I drove around the corner of Lee and N. Knight I would stop or wave to John at work repairing engines. I missed seeing him when he went south for the winter. Now that his work is done, may he have holy rest and peace!

As we all must know, Uncle Johnny was a very beloved and great man. He was a talented golfer, lawnmower repair man, and had a knack for survival and strength. The fondest memories are of him in church singing right beside me almost every Sunday. It is still a shock to know he is gone, but I know he is now one of God's angels, and a guardian by my side for always. He will stay in my heart forever.

Uncle John was a very talented person. He was god at a lot of different trades. I learned a lot of very important values, and how to fix small engines from him. He will be missed by me and my wife.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

I'm very sorry for your loss. John was a good friend of mine and like a father. We always stopped by each other's house and we talked and joked and he helped me thru many hard times with his friendship. We both had a common interest in fixing things and he was always there when I needed help and advice. I'm sure he is heaven right now fixing something. I will truly miss my buddy John. He was a good Man!!

Uncle John and Aunt Tizzy are the examples of how to live life. Aunt Tizzy was always more worried about the small things that where going on in my life while she dealt with MS every day of hers. My uncle John showed me patents and what understanding was all about. He and I both had the same passions, golf and anything that required gas to run. My fondest memories are playing golf with him and my uncles Tony and George and the look on his face when we got the MGA to run after he rebuilt the engine himself. I love both of them like my own parents and I miss them.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. John was my first manager when I started with IBM in 1961 and he helped me through some trying times. As a manager he made my start with IBM better. As a friend he made my life better. Heaven's gain is the world's loss.

I was deeply saddened to read of your Dad's passing. I fondly remember playing golf when he posted his "record 77" score at IBM with Phil Fox, Gene Ash and me those many years ago.
I will also miss those friendly stops he made at my house during his summers at home here in Endwell.
