John J. Worhach
of Binghamton
John J. Worhach, 46, died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 7, 2002. He was predeceased by his father, Michael Worhach; and his sister, Jean Raponi. He is survived by his loving wife, Maureen E. Worhach; three sons, Thomas, James and Matthew Worhach; his mother, Jean Worhach; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Michael and Kathryn Worhach, Sudbury, Mass., and Thomas Worhach, Lakeworth, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Eddie Raponi, Binghamton; nieces and nephews, Jill and Jeff Raponi, Jennifer and Michael Worhach, and Kasia and Tommy Worhach; also his father-in-law, Neil Eggleston and his family; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a devoted and active member of St. Ann's Church, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Past President of the Church Council and on the Children and Families First Committee. He was a Procurement Manager for IBM Corp., Endicott. John was an avid fan of Pittsburgh sports. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. at Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc., 96 Glenwood Ave., and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dialysis Unit at BGH, 10-42 Mitchell Ave., Binghamton, N.Y. 13903, or to St. Ann's Church, 346 Prospect St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905, or to the John Worhach Scholarship Fund at SCCHS, 70 Seminary Ave., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.

Ran into a lady at Mirabito on Clinton St who told me John had died several years ago. I remember John, brown hair, wire frames, amicable personality. My memory is that he played cyo basketball, if not, then down at the park. You are not forgotten, John. RIP.
