Joshua Henry Obituary
"Spread your wings and fly." Joshua A. Henry, 11/26/04, age 7, keep an ever-loving eye on us, we will hold you in our hearts until we meet again. Joshua entered Heaven's gates on January 7, 2012. He passed with his brother, Tyler Houghton, and grandfather, Joe Plavensky. He is predeceased by his great grandpa, PaPa Eugene Reed, and great grandma, Loraine Roberts. He is survived by his mother, Lindsey Henry and her loving friend Shaheem Fleming; his father, Damon Henry and loving friend Melonye Houghton; sisters Nataya and Zoee Henry; brothers Jordon and Dante Flemming; Damon Henry and Tanner Houghton; grandma and grandpa Donna and Steve Reed; grandma Mary Plavensky; grandpa Mark and Kelly Henry. Josh is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, by his very special loving great grandma GiGi and his forever friend Camden Detwiler. Josh attended the Churches of Christ and Christian Union, Endwell, and was in the 1st grade at Maine Memorial Elementary School where he had many special friends and teachers whom he will always be looking upon. He had a great love of Maine Endwell sports. Josh will always be remembered as the kindest, sweetest boy who gave us a lifetime of memories and will forever live on in all of us. We extend our appreciation to all the EMS crews and staff at Wilson Hospital and special thanks to Rae Ann. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 East Main St., Endicott, on Saturday, January 14th. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. and burial will follow in the Maine Cemetery in Maine, NY.

I know Josh from Maine Memorial school. He would come over to Mrs. LaBares class with our print outs. I would always tell him to tie his shoes. He had the cutest smile that i will never for get. As Josh's student teacher I only got to spend a short few weeks with him. He has forever touched my heart and always showed me why wanting to be a teacher was worth it. My deepest sympathy is with all of Josh's family. I would like to share a special time I had with Josh. I am GiGi's mail carrier and my name is Chrisy. One summer day I was on GiGi's street starting my deliveries and Josh was outside. We were chatting and as I continued on He was right behind me. As we got a couple houses away from grandma's I told Josh he couldn't go any further until he let grandma know where he was so she didn't worry. Not knowing if grandma would say yes, I continued on my way. Two seconds later I hear this little voice say HEY WAIT FOR ME, so I waited and we continued on up and down the hill, up every stair to every mail box, and back to grandmas, where she was waiting outside for us. He was so proud that he got to deliver the mail with me that day. He was there right behind me and went up every single stair to every single box with me. I will hold that memory of Josh with me forever. He was such a good little boy, always happy, and such a pleasure to chat with when he was at grandmas. I will miss him dearly and hold him close to my heart. He touched me so much that day. I will never forget him.

I meet Joshua when he was very young. My brother and sister-in-law lived next door. My sister Josett was Narcissa's best friend. I have known the family for a long time. My heart goes out to all of you.
