Joyce Edson Obituary
Union Center - Joyce W. Edson, 97, of Union Center, NY was reunited with her husband Bill on March 11, 2021 at James G. Johnston Nursing Home. She is predeceased by a son-in-law, Thomas Joy and grandson-in-law, Mike Hauck. She is survived by daughters, Vicki (Don) Haus and Terry Joy; grandchildren, Tory Hauck and James (Kristen) Joy; great granchildren, Ava and Addy Joy. She was a member of the American Cruisers Car Club. She enjoyed her walks around the Oakdale Mall for more than 30 years. She enjoyed watching her grandson compete in motocross. Her and Bill were very proud of their camp that they had built on Eatonbrook Reservoir, loved traveling and loved being social with people. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff at James G. Johnston Nursing Home especially Audrey and Leann for their compassionate and loving care of Joyce. The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 17 from 10-11 AM at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott. Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Nanticoke Valley Cemetery in Union Center, NY.

Remember, while the loss of a loved one is immeasurable, so are the memories and love they leave behind. My favorite memory of, you, Aunt Joyce, is your infectious laughter. I will always treasure my times spent with you and the family in my younger years. May you soar on the wings of angels. You will be greatly missed❤

I am so sorry to hear of Joyce's passing. We met her & Bill when both Bill and my husband were going through cancer. She was a wonderful person. After Bill passed and then my husband we would talk on the phone at least once a month until she went into assisted living. I so enjoyed our conversations and looked forward to them. She was a sweet woman. I will miss her. My heart goes out to the family. You have my deepest sympathy.
