Lance Holbrook Obituary
Apopka, FL.: Lance J E Holbrook, 60 of Apopka, FL., formerly of Binghamton, went home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 28, 2012 with his family by his side after a long illness. He was predeceased by his father, Howard Holbrook; his mother-in-law, Shirley Demoski; and nephew, Greg Holbrook; as well as good friend, Helen Cook. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Paula; his two sons, Ryan and Adam; his mother, Alice; father-in-law, Paul Demoski; and brother, Brent (Bonnie) Holbrook. Two brothers-in-law, Ken (Judy) Demoski, Scott (Birdie) Demoski; four sisters-in-law, Joanne (Ed) Rattigan, Kathy (Mark) Swearengin, Denise Travis, Lori (John) Benson, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He served in the US Navy. He was an avid New York Yankees and Cowboy's fan. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 15th at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 33 Howard Ave, Binghamton with Pastor Russell Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on December 15th. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to The Huntington's Disease, HMRI Development Department, 734 Fairmont Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91105-3104, or at ( HMRI.org) or at First Christian Church of Kirkwood or Grace Baptist Church in Lance Holbrook's name. Lance will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Paula, Ryan, Adam and Mrs. Holbrook,
We were truly saddened when we learned of Lance's passing. We will always remember him with love in our hearts. He was a beautiful person. He was a beautiful person because he let the light of Christ shine through him and on to those around him.
Though his body became weak and gradually failed him completely, he never let that stop him from sharing his love for the Lord. We know of none other more ready than Lance to step into Heaven and meet his Lord and his God face to face.
He has shed his wheelchair, his cane, and all that hindered his life here on earth. However, he will not shed a tear fore there are no tears in Heaven. The ones who hurt and grieve his loss are the ones he left behind. But take heart, the same promise that Lance has now experienced is ours too and one day we'll be together with those we love once again only this time it will be for all eternity.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I only saw Aunt Lillis twice in my lifetime, but along with Aunt Nina, I have fond memories of those few visits. Once in New York & once here in CA when I was very, very young. Even though your family may not know of me and my family, we are family and will keep yours in our prayers.
