She earned a R.N. degree from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, Buffalo, N.Y. In addition, she earned a B.S. from the University of Buffalo. Being a mother and grandmother were two roles that she held very close to her heart and providing nursing care, particularly to the elderly, gave her much satisfaction. Spending time caring for and loving animals brought her much joy. She especially enjoyed being around her horses and parrots. Laurel will be dearly missed by all her family.
