Leo Tersmette Obituary
Endwell - Leo J. Tersmette, 93 of Endwell, passed away Monday evening January 27, 2020. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances C. (VanRijt) Tersmette. He is survived by four children, Anthony (Patricia Bradley) Tersmette, Maria (James) Rossi, Michael (Melissa) Tersmette, Margaret Tersmette and Tammy; six grandchildren, Annelies (Jason) Gatdula, Tessa Rossi, Trevor (Colleen) Tersmette, Lindsay Tersmette, Michaela Tersmette, Derrick Erway and Dalton (Meghan) Bradley; five great-grandchildren, Lina, Reed and Miles Tersmette, Cora Gatdula and Alayna Bradley; his special nephew, Marcel (Alie) VanRijt. Leo was a member of the Church of The Holy Family in Endwell and a retired I.B.M. Endicott employee. He was the former swim coach for the Endicott Boys' and Girls' Club. Private Funeral Services will be held at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott with the Rev. Fr. Clarence F. Rumble officiating. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. At the request of the family there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in memory of Mr. Tersmette may be made to Mercy House of The Southern Tier 212 N. McKinley Ave. Endicott, NY 13760.

What a wonderful man! I was lucky to have met him so many years ago at the Boys Club where he taught me, my brother and many of our friends how to swim better and push faster. He was a true gentlemen in every sense of the word. And over the last 40 years it was always a happy day when someone in my family bumped in to Mr T --- always with a twinkle in his eye and smile that stretched a mile! Rest well my friend.

I worked with Leo at IBM for several years. I remember he was always very helpful and had good ideas about how to solve situations which came up.
