of Candor, N.Y.Leroy F. Lyon, 86, of Honeypot Rd., Candor, N.Y., died at his home on Sunday, June 6, 2004. Leroy was born in Binghamton, N.Y. on February 3, 1918, to Frank and Willa Mae Cowles Lyon. He had been a farmer all his life, operating his farm with his son, Frank, and formerly with his brother, the late General Lyon. Leroy was past President of the Holstein-Fresian Association and was past Director and co-founder of the Penn York Co-op. Leroy is survived by his children, Frank (Vicki) Lyon, Candor, Deborah (Ken) Frisbie, Spencer, Russell Meddaugh, Candor, Timothy Meddaugh, Candor, Nancy Campbell, Candor, Bonnie (Les) Wintermute, Candor, and Patricia Kleiman, Port Jarvis. He has 24 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at the Candor Funeral Parlour, Inc., 137 Main St., Candor, N.Y. on Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at 1:00 p.m., with Reverend Philip Jordan officiating. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, N.Y. Memorial donations may be made to the Candor Free Library, Main St., Candor, N.Y.
