Vincent M. Turrigiano, Sr.

Vincent M. Turrigiano, Sr., 68, joined his beloved parents, Liborio (Benny) and Mary Turrigiano; and brother, Peter Saraceno in heaven on Friday, August 1, 2008. He is survived by three daughters, Angel Barry, Paula Ames and Maria Turrigiano; two sons, Vincent M. Turrigiano, Jr., and Matthew Turrigiano; two sons-in-law, Kevin Barry and Chris Ames; his daughter-in-law, Lisa Turrigiano; also seven grandchildren; his two very special sisters and brother-in-law, Vivian Virgilio, Endwell, Julia and Nick Annotto, Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; his beloved aunt, Rose Serafini, Binghamton; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished childhood friends who greeted each other with the "attention getting" north side whistle. Vince was a lifelong resident of Endicott, a graduate of Union Endicott High School, served in the U.S. Navy, worked many years in the family business, Turrigiano and Son in Endicott, was a 15 year IBM Endicott employee, and a employee of Abe Business Express for several years. He was a proud member of the first Little League team in Endicott, and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Vince's magnetic personality and great sense of humor will be greatly missed. He enjoyed meeting people and working with the public, traveling, driving, horse racing, spending time at Saratoga Lake and was an avid fan of Seton Catholic Central High sports programs. The family would like to thank Mary Coyle and her staff at the Binghamton General Renal Care Center and all of the nurses and aids of Lourdes Hospice, especially Dixie, Cindy and Sister Joanna, Palma and his special angel.

The family will receive friends at St. Anthony of Padua Church Monday from 5:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 7:00 p.m. Please omit flowers and consider donations to the Seton Catholic High School Athletic Program, 70 Seminary Ave. Binghamton, N.Y. 13905, The Renal Care Center, 27 Park Ave. Binghamton, N.Y. 13903 or to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Rd. Angel, Paula, Vince, Maria and Matthew,

I am so sorry about the loss of your dear father. I have many wonderful memories of the times that our families had from years ago. I always enjoyed the "talks" that your dad and I had when my job took me to IBM and I would run into him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.
