Mark Preston Obituary
Mark Preston, 56, of Johnson City, passed away quietly at home after a long struggle with his health, on Thursday August 18th. He is predeceased by his mother Susan (Betty) Preston. He is survived by his father Maxwell Preston, his daughters Lena Preston, Stephanie Preston, their mother Diane, his grandchildren Collin Sokkoth and Taylor Hopkins. He leaves behind his siblings, Charles Preston (Melva), Maxwell Preston Jr. (Cecile), Jeanette Preston and Robert Preston (Janice). He is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also leaves behind his loving dog Mia who was at his side when he left this life behind. He served honorably in the USAF and used those skills in various jobs after his discharge. His greatest joys in life were taking care of his children and grandchildren, making sure they had all they needed. He was an amazing father and he was loved. He loved his parents, his brothers and sister, friends and family and he will be greatly missed. His family will welcome all friends on Wednesday, August 24th from noon-1, with service to follow at 1:00 at The J.F. Rice Funeral Home on Main St. in Johnson City. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Diabetes Association.

Mark has always been a funny, loving, kind gentleman. Ive been a close friend since 1992, and the thing i miss the most about him is his funny jokes. I had the pleasure of welcoming him in me and Lenas home for a short stint. I am very saddened by this loss of a great guy, and a stand up Father. My love goes out to the entire Preston Family. I love you all so much. Lets spend more time together.
