Marta L. Cruz
of Wyalusing, Pa.
Marta L. Cruz, formerly Marta Johnson, age 67, of Wyalusing, Pa., passed away September 22, 2008. She held various jobs in the area, working for Bendix Co., and most recently BAE Systems Co. out of Johnson City. Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Josephina and Angel Bravo, Rio Piedras, P.R.; daughter, Marsha and Jim Stoddard, Sugar Run, Pa.; grandchildren, Lindsay Stoddard, St. Augustine, Fla., Brandon Stoddard, Sugar Run, Pa.; brother, Jose S. Cruz, Homestead, Fla.; sister, Milagros Rivera, Rio Piedras, P.R.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Wyalusing, Pa. Friends may call at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, Pa., on Wednesday, September 24, 2008, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Nancy Quattrini Patient Fund, c/o Sue Damico, Guthrie Cancer Center, 1 Guthrie Square, Sayre, Pa. 18840. My deepest sympathy to Marta's family. I worked with Marta at IBM, Celestica and BAE. She was a dedicated worker and a lovely person. I know she thought deeply of her family because she talked about them all the time.

I remember the first time I met Marda, I loved her immediately. I will miss her wonderful smile and her loving and warm personality. She made me the greatest chicken and mango salad I have ever eaten. I loves talking to her about her heritage and her family, whom she loved so much. Marta was a wonderful asset to second shift at BAE. I will miss her alot as well as many others. I am glad she is at peace . My prayers and love go out to you and your family. Marta was a wonderful friend.

Marta was a very special lady. I will miss seeing her beautiful smile. She was an inspiration, because no matter how poorly she was feeling she had a happy face and a kind word. Blessings to everyone in the family. Marta will be looking down on you from heaven where she is enjoying meeting the angels she loved so much.
