Michael Weiland Obituary
Michael P. Weiland, 33, of Lisle, passed away at his home on Friday, June 19, 2015, after a long illness. He was pre-deceased by his grandfather, Ronald (Rigi) DellaPenta. He is survived by his children, Payton, Brooke, and Liam, all of Lisle, NY; his grandparents, Mary DellaPenta, Endicott, and Ralph and Lola Weiland, Candor; his parents, Rudy and Theresa Weiland, Lisle. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Roseann and Tom Scully, Virginia, Suzannne and Fran Reardon, Endicott, Annette BonVentre, Endicott, Ronald and Amy DellaPenta, Endicott, Maria DellaPenta, Candor, Gary Weiland, Athens, PA and Judy Smith, Rome, NY, as well as many cousins. Mike graduated in 2000 from Whitney Point High School. He is a U.S. Veteran serving with the United States Marine Corps in both Japan and the Philippines. He loved his family, music, and golf, but his children were his world. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 am at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main St. Endicott, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Ave. Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home on Tuesday evening from 4-7 pm. The family wishes to thank Cayuga Medical, Ithaca, NY, the Lourdes Hospice Program and UHS Home Care for all of their care and concern.

The happy memories of Michael that just sprang to mind seeing his beautiful smile and sparkle in his eyes bring joy to my heart. Rudy & Theresa, you know that time doesn't heal an aching heart and it doesn't make things better. Time makes things different. What IS the same is the love that you have for Michael and the love he has for you. I send you all much love and a special 'thanks' to Michael for all the laughs he and the stories of his adventures in life brought me (even though YOU TWO may not have always laughed along :) ) God Bless and know that he's always a part of each of us who are lucky enough to have known and loved this man.
