I am so very sorry to hear of Dr.Michael Yablonski´s passing. He was a teacher, mentor, colleague and friend during my over five years as Ophthalmology Resident, Chief Resident, Retina Fellow, faculty and attending staff at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. He was a Mensch, a stand up honest man with high intelligence but also a great human with sensitivity, humor and love. It was because of our friendship that I was able to progress in our department and with my career. I am forever grateful. Dr.Yablonski was a family man devoted to his children. I remember hearing from him of his son´s tragic death at a young age. It comforts me to know that Dr.Yablonski spent his last few years in the home of his daughter and is buried next to his son. I am only now hearing of his passing because I googled him to find out how he was doing. I am greatly saddened but know that he is in Heaven with his son. He was a great, talented yet humble man who was true to God in his calling and devoted to his children and family. Rest In Peace with God, Dr.Yablonski. Amen
