Kingsley - Mike Kerr, 62 of Kingsley, PA passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021 from an auto accident.

Mike was born at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, NY. He grew up in New Milford and spent summer holiday weekends with his grandparents at Coxton Lake.

He attended Perkiomen School and graduated in 1977.

Mike was a hard worker who loved driving trucks. He grew up in a trucking family and drove truck most all of his life starting with Kerr Motor Lines in Binghamton, NY. He drove for Southwest Motor Transport hauling freight cross country for a number of years. He drove water trucks for GDS Cabot for the fracking industry. Mike worked at New Milford Sand & Gravel and for Kilmer & Sons in Kingsley, and most recently he was employed by Mike Oliverio in Gibson hauling blue stone and flagstone to New Jersey, New York and Virginia.

Mike loved animals, he fed all kinds of critters on the back porch and looked after the stray cats in the neighborhood. He enjoyed fishing with his cousin in Florida.

He was a member for a while at South Montrose Community Church and helped with the soup kitchen, and more recently attended Bridgewater Church in Montrose.

Mike was predeceased by his mother Karen S. Kerr, his father James Joseph Kerr and his brother James F. Kerr , his grandparents Donald & Gene Stearns and Floyd and Mary Kerr.

Surviving on the Stearns family side are his uncle Tom Stearns, cousins, Don Geda, Mark Geda and Karen Dos Passos, and Charles Cavender. He is survived on the Kerr family side by cousins Dave Kerr, Jerry Kerr, Tom Kerr, Debbie Kerr, Bo Kerr, Robin Kerr, Jeff Kerr and Mary-Pat Kerr.

Mike is grateful and thankful for all the good and kind people that helped him along the way.

Arrangements were made by Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Hallstead, PA. Cremation will be private. A public memorial service will be planned sometime in late spring.
