Muriel Juska Obituary
Owego, New York: Muriel L. Juska, 100, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015. Muriel was born in Dennysville, ME to the late Edwin and Roberta Mahar. She was the last surviving of eleven children. Mrs. Juska is survived by her husband of 71 years, William Juska; her children, Paula Smith, William and Maryann Juska, Phillip Juska, Paul and Leigh Juska; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Juska obtained a degree from Asbury Park Business College. Prior to marriage, she was the bookkeeper at Steinbach's Department Store in Long Branch, New Jersey. She was also employed at the Battery Testing Center at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, New York 13827. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport, New Jersey. Memorial contributions may be made in Muriel Juska's memory to St. Patrick's School, 309 Front Street, Owego, New York 13827. Condolences may be made to the Juska Family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com

My deepest sympathies to Bill (Sr. and Jr.) and all the Juska family. A memorable dinner and overnight visit to her home years ago showed Muriel in her element, a true force of nature for whom family always came first and was a source of such pride and gratification. May she rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Juska. I will always remember what a lovely lady she was. The Juska home was the only family with a TV set and Mrs. Juska was kind enough to allow the neighborhood kids to come in and let us watch TV. We all sat on the living room floor and watched the cartoons. I also babysat all of the Juska children. I can still remember what happy times they were.

Your mother lived a blessed life. You need to be very happy by the fact that you were able to share with your mother many successes that you and your family have experienced.
