Uncle Nick, I have a photo of me with you and Aunt Mary and I will always treasure it. I am so sorry we didn't get to spend more time together, but you know that I loved you. Now you are with your mom, my mom (your sister) and brother at the happiest of all places. "He will cover you with His feathers and under His wings you will find refuge." Psalm 91:4. Now you have your own wings as an angel!

Nicholas (dear "uncle Nicky") - I had my birthday planned, to spend with those I love the most. I knew you had gotten bad news & wanted to see you first thing that morning, coming in from Deposit, to talk about getting you down, if at all possibile, to do some fishing, and have some laughs and fun and food of course. The hospital bed was made up clean and as high as it would go - you'd been released? Yes. To a far better place than this earth can provide. Among your family and other loved ones, I know my dad and several "Mikeys" would be there waiting for you and guess you just decided you'd rather get going. I cried all the way to the car. Then thought, in reality, it was a birthday gift. To think of you together with "Eduardo Viejo," your mother, et al, in peace, love, harmony - and no worries or pain. You're in my heart now (where you always were anyway :-). xoxoxox

Nick, you were loved and cherished by me. Your humor and wit always enlivened our family gatherings. Your support and friendship for Dad was sterling. Chuck and I will sorely miss our time with you, talking old times, fishing times and always making more fun time together.

My dear brother,
Each time I think of you, I think of someone who was my potector. Keeping me looking at the positive ways. You"ve shown me and helped me find ways to work through some problems that otherwise might have made me give up. Each time I think of you, I remember your kindness, and your patience. And I also remember how freely you"ve always shown how much you cared. My God bless and keep you safe in his arms. Love you to the moon and back.
