Norman Luce Obituary

Norman P. (Bucka) Luce
of Endicott
Norman P. (Bucka) Luce, 67, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2005, at University Hospital in Syracuse after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Florence and Eugene Luce. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joan B. Luce of Endicott; one daughter and son-in-law, Gail and John Foley, Endicott; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Crystal Luce, Endicott; a grandson, Tommy Foley; a sister, Linda Weston, Apalachin; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patricia and Paul DePhillip, Endicott; a niece and a nephew, Lisa and Steve Weston; and several cousins living in Pennsylvania. Mr. Luce was a former employee of IBM in Glendale, retiring after 33 years of service and was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club. He was a 1957 graduate of Vestal High School, was involved in Scouting and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout. He was a former trustee and head usher at Wesley United Methodist Church. Mr. Luce was also a member of the Endicott Auxilliary Police and was a former Vice President of the Crescent Lake Association in Pennsylvania.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 12 p.m. at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 1000 Day Hollow Rd., Endicott. Rev. Jack Laskowski, Pastor of his church will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Wesley Church on Wednesday from 10:30 am until the service time at 12 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main St. Endicott.
