I just learned of Prue's passing. She was the daughter of my grandmothers brother. My grandmother was Libby Clark Temple and my mother(still living) is Orrel Temple Rider. I remember visiting the Clarks as a child and remember Prue very well. I knew Ronald and do know Fay Button.

So sad to hear of Miss Clark's passing. I remember her, from my school days at Harford Elementary, as a strict, but caring teacher who would do anything for her students, while pushing us to meet the high expectations she held for us. Miss Clark's legecy lives on in those of us who were lucky enough to cross her path in our school days. My prayers and best wishes go out to her family. As a teacher myself, I hope that I will be remembered as fondly by my former students one day, as Miss Clark is by hers.

My sympathies to Prudence's family. The world has lost a special lady. In today's world, I do not use the word LADY lightly. Prue was the defination of a true lady. I worked with her at the Independent and I am proud and honored to have known her.

My prayers go out to the family and friends of Prue. She was a special lady. She gave alot of her time and heart to the Harford community. My first memories of Prue were when she use to come and visit my grandmother, Lulu Richardson. As me and my sister got older she would pick us up on Sundays and take us to church. She will be remembered always.

Prudence was a contributor. She gave freely of her time and talent to her church and its many organizations; to the Harford Fair and to Harford/Mt. View school district. Her vast knowledge of local history has been appreciated by all who took the time to visit with her over the years. Go in Peace Prudence, you have earned your rest.

Miss Clark was one of favorite teachers
and was my sixth grade teacher. She
taught us all kinds of poetry, read

book to us.Taught us about Australia,
a place she loved and wanted to visit
and she did.We all loved Miss Clark.
She came to our class reunions. She
will be sadly missed, but I'm sure
she is in heaven teaching Mt. View
students that have passed before us.

My thoughts and prayers are with her friends and family. Although I have never met Miss Clark, I heard her name many times. My Mom, Anna Romanczuk Osman went to school with her in Hartford and spoke of her often. My Mom passed away at 94 two years ago on Easter Sunday.

Miss Clark was one of my Sunday School teachers and an early influence. She was a wonderful roll model for me and anyone who had the opportunity to spend time with her. She lived her life with integrity and love of mankind. We share her loss with her family.
You are in our thoughts and prayers. Ken and Betty Lou Bennett

We were saddened to hear of Prue"s "Homegoing". She was a sweet lady. I remember her when we lived in North Harford as a little girl and then she was my teacher when I was in the 5th grade. We moved to N.J. the latter part of that year but we kept in touch and then we moved back to Harford. We would alwlays try to look her up when my husband and I would come north for vacation. We will miss her when we come up this summer. Bob and Jan (Brainard) Belk

I never took the opportunity to thank Miss Clark for being such an influence in my life. If I had the chance I would tell her that she was always very sweet to me and I’d thank her for always letting me sit in the corner cubby. My condolences on your loss, she was a wonderful person who changed the lives of so many people.

When I was a young teacher in the Mountain View School District Prudence was a wonderful friend and mentor. I'll never forget her kindness and her dry sense of humor. May God bless and welcome her. Tom Brown (Olyphant, Pa,)

Her passing is a great loss for Harford. Miss Clark was a wonderful woman and a great teacher beyond the classroom. She will always remain a special memory from our days at Mountain View (and Harford HS for those older) and I extend my thoughts and prayers to her family and friends. She is now at peace and undoubtedly leading the reading of a favorite passage in a heavenly "room 228". Thank you Miss Clark.
