To the Morris Family and Friends - dictionaries are full of words but none seem adequate to convey the the sadness and uprootedness that we feel at the passing of our Mom.
Yet, she not only honored her lifetime commitment to our Dad, and together with Dad nurtured the family in ways that will last our lifetimes (and those of the grandchildren and beyond) - but it is now also very clear that Mom also deeply touched so many others in ways that we will never know or understand. Especially recently, Mom also re-taught us the meaning of family, Faith and courage. This is part of her "dash" between the dates of birth and death. This is her legacy. This is our challenge.

Dear Momma-Rita,
You taught us to sing, laugh and love. I have no doubt that there are more lessons yet to learn but with you watching over us we will be ok. Thank you for being our Mom - I pray that we sent you into God's arms in the manner in which you planned. I promise - "Bill Bailey" .... someday. Love Forever - Jenny XO

Dear Jack and Family,
Rita was such a joy to have known and a privilege to be considered among her friends. I'll always remember her beautiful laugh and her soothing voice. I'm certain she'll have a headstart in heaven since she was already an angel on earth.

I will always remember Mrs. Morris best as my Confirmation class instructor. In the Spring of 1971, I was in the 6th grade and Fr. Alfred was notified that the Bishop was coming in 2 weeks to confirm all 165 of us! We had 10 long classes every week night plus the day before. She amazingly motivated dozens of 11 yr olds to memorize every last bit of required catechism in time! We marched into Church as if we had been practicing for a year.
My deepest sympathy to her family. I'm sorry that I'm out of town and won't be able to attend her services.
