Rosemary Stento Obituary

Rosemary Stento
of Edmeston
Rosemary Stento, 67, treasured daughter of Mary Stento, Vestal, sister of James and Joan Stento, Johnson City, Rocco Stento, Binghamton, and Anthony J. and Diane Stento, Binghamton, passed peacefully in her sleep, Sunday, August 31, 2008, at her Broome Developmental Family Care Residence. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph "Sharkey" Stento in 1980. Survivors include ten nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins in the Stento and D'Amigo families. Obviously, God knew she would live her life challenged by special needs so he surrounded her with people who loved her and who she unconditionally loved in return. The family wishes to thank her caregivers through the years, especially Nanette Jablonski and most recently Carol Carney. We are humbled by your goodness.
Private burial services will be held Friday, September 5, 2008, at Calvary Cemetery. A Memorial Mass in celebration of Rosemary's life will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 6, 2008, at the Parish of Saints John and Andrew, 1263 Vestal Avenue, Binghamton, with the Reverend Michael T. Meagher officiating. Family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 until the time of services. Memorial contributions in Rosemary's name may be made to The Danielle House, 160 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, N.Y. 13905. Arrangements for the family are directed by the DeMunn Funeral Home.

Our lives are like fabric in God's blanket, woven in and out along the way. We don't always see the beauty while we are on the underside here, but the beauty lies when we go home to heaven. God bless her family here, and may she now enjoy the peace and freedom and the beauty of heaven.
