Sarah Stapleton Obituary
of Binghamton, NY
Sarah B. (Sally) Stapleton passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, December 8, 2009. She is predeceased by her daughter, Deborah; and her husband, Fredric. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Fredric and Anne Stapleton; granddaughter and her husband, Jacqueline Stapleton and Pete Durham; grandsons and their wives, Fredric and Kristin Stapleton, Robert and Kristy Stapleton; great-grandson, Cole; brother and sister-in-law, Ford and Marilyn Baker; sister-in-law, Bernice Stapleton Watson; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and a dear friend, Sandy Cincebox. She was a retired employee of NY Telephone and a Life Member of the Telephone Pioneers, Past Member of the Monday Afternoon Club. Sally enjoyed entertaining and playing cards, spending time with her family and friends and she loved her pets dearly.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 11, 2009, at 11 a.m. from Ogden Hillcrest United Methodist Church, 1061 Chenango Street, with the Rev. Dr. Horace King officiating. Friends may call at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, Thursday 4-7 p.m. Those wishing, kindly consider memorial contributions to Ogden Hillcrest United Methodist Church Endowment Fund in Sarah's memory. A special thanks to Good Shepherd Fairview Home for their care and compassion.

I remember Sally fondly..I met her a number of years ago and enjoyed havinmg lunch with her whenever I was in Binghamton visiting Deb and Mike.

Fred and Anne;
My thoughts are with you and your family at this time of sorrow. I always enjoyed talking to Sally at various functions. She, with your dad and Deborah, had what one gentleman publicly stated at a retirement banquet for your Dad called "Class".
