Scott M. Ellis, 49, of Summerville, SC, formerly of Maine and Nanticoke, NY passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2015. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Frederick and Gwen Ellis. He left behind his spouse, Ronda, his children, Brianna (Sean) Jones, Tonya, Hunter, Jacob and Darby Ellis; his brother, Frederick (Janet) Ellis Jr,; sisters, Lori (Bill) Swartout and Kathy (George) Way; also four grandchildren, Gabriella, Shaine, Cassidy and Levi and nieces, Charise, Tina, Aubrey and nephew, Chris. Scott devoted much of his time and thoughts to family and friends. He was a hard worker and was dedicated to providing for his family. Get-togethers were a favorite activity from birthday parties to bonfires. He was always there to lend a hand for anyone that needed it. He loved the snow and was looking forward to coming back to NY to snowmobile. Scott was very community minded and was involved in the fire departments in both Maine and Nanticoke. He loved that life and even got into business with fire apparatus as First Response of NY. He also spent several years as the Town Supervisor for the Town of Nanticoke. There is so much more that could be said about him. Those that knew him knew his sense of humor and humility. Scott was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. There will be a Memorial Service held in NY at a later date in the spring.
