Theresa Hodder Obituary
On August 21,2012, Theresa (Mahosky) Hodder, 88, formerly of Blossburg, PA, daughter of Stanley and Sarah Mahosky of Arnot, PA. went home to be with the Lord, her beloved husband, Clarence Hodder, Jr., as well as 7 Mahosky siblings. She is survived by two sisters-Mary Baker of Wellsboro, PA; Martha Thompson of Arnot, PA; and one brother-Stanley Mahosky of Wellsburg, NY. She is also survived by two sons-Elroy(Carol) and Howard (Connie) of Gillett, PA., two daughters-Irene (Bill) Johnson of Lake Worth, Fl., Sarah(Mark Couchman) Hodder of Binghamton,NY. Eight grandchildren: Kelly (Melvin) Rountree, Kenneth Hodder, Kim (Alfred) DeFilippo, Kathy (Ron) Kornet, Dr. Heidi Hodder (Dr. Christopher Fucito), Howard (Stephanie) Hodder, Jr. , Brian Roy and sister Brenda Roy. Eleven great grandchildren: Kyle, Ryan, Lynzi Rountree; Julia and Teresa DeFilippo; Amelia, Joseph, and Ross Fucito,and Hailey,Lily, and Molly Hodder; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Words cannot adequately describe how much Theresa was loved and will be missed by family, but know there will remain an empty space in our hearts until we are again reunited. She was a caregiver in the truest sense of the word. She lovingly nurtured her family and tended to the patients at the Blossburg State Hospital as an LPN, as well as many people in the Blossburg community. Those who came in contact with Theresa, when she was well, knew she had an extremely strong work-ethic. They also knew her to be "feisty" with an indominable spirit. Both helped her to never give up and to deal with the physical struggles she faced after a devastating stroke in 1988. Even though she spent the last 12 years living in New York, she always fondly remembered Blossburg and the people there and wished to return home. Her wish has been finally granted for she will be laid to rest in Arbon Cemetery. The family wish to thank the staff at Elizabeth Church Manor in Binghamton, NY for their kind and compassionate care while she was a resident. A special thanks also goes to Carol Jake, a friend and caregiver. Viewing will be Friday, August 24th at the Freeberg Funeral Home, North Williamson Road in Blossburg from 5-8PM. Saturday at 11:00 will be a brief prayer service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Blossburg Ambulance.

What a wonderful Aunt she was and yes also so giving and caring. Spent many hours, days, weeks, and years enjoying her and will never forget her thoughtfulness. She was indeed an exceptionable lady and I am sure missed by many and surely by me. Altho the years have passed she will never be forgotten. Theresa was truly a special person and friend. I enjoyed the time in which I got to know her, while sitting on her front porch and talking to her. I loved her stories about Blossburg and tales about her family. I was also inspired by her strong faith in God. She was an encouragement to all who knew her! My daughter and I will miss her. Sorry for your loss. May God lighten the sorrow that has filled your hearts and replace it with many special moments you shared together.
