Adam COLE Obituary

COLE, Adam A long-time resident of Windsor, CA, passed away in his sleep on April 15, 2017. Though his life was cut short, he lived every day to the fullest - enjoying cars, being in nature and the great outdoors, fixing anything he found broken, and passionately helping and loving those around him. Adam's motto was "My life, My way," and he lived up to that motto beautifully. He had many gifts - his most defining being the ability to connect with people, make friends, and to make those around him feel good about themselves. Adam put these gifts to work in a number of careers he held throughout his life, including butcher, blacksmithing and automobile repair. Most recently, Adam was the proud owner of Wine Country Autoworks, where he made many friends and happy customers. Adam is missed dearly and will always be held in the hearts of his children - Alanah and Selena Cole, fiancé - Michelle Kay, "step" children - Maddie and Kaden Kay, father and step-mom - Gary and Linda Markwick, mother - Larkspur Spottedhorse, and siblings: Deborah Cole-Bermudez, Tamarah Cole, Luke Rosell, Loyce Rosell, Leif Rosell, Tamara DeMille, Tony Markwick, Dawn Tonner, and Jason Salvato, as well as many other close family members and friends. His family invites everyone who knew Adam to join us on May 6, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Windsor Community Center (901 Adele Drive, Windsor, CA 95492) to share stories of Adam and to celebrate this life we all share. Among Adam's most precious loves were his children, his fiancé and his animals. His loyal companion, Lucy, is a lab/boxer mix who has a torn cruciate in her rear leg and needs surgery to correct it. A GoFundMe account has been set up in Adam's name - donations will be used to pay for this surgery for his beloved pet, and all excess funds will be donated in Adam's name to the Sonoma County Humane Society. Please make donations at http://www.gofundme.com/Adam-Coles-Lucy or visit the link on the home page of the Sonoma County Humane Society.

We are so sadden by the loss of your son Gary and Linda. We pray for you and the rest if his family to find peace with this tragedy and that your faith remains strong even though it's hard to understand why these things happen. Wish we could be there with you. Love you guys.

Adam though I only knew you for a brief time I felt a closeness and you were one of the most honest and decent people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. My heart goes out to your family. Always know you were loved and respected.

"Meant to Be" - we knew it from the moment we met, didn't we my love? I know we had ups and downs, like all relationships do. But I love you with all my heart, now and forever. And I wouldn't trade the last 9.5 years for anything, and there is nothing I'd change about you. I love you babe.
