Alfred "Bud" Luiz

Died accidentally on Sunday, October 31, 2010 in Petaluma, CA, beloved brother of Dorothy Luiz and Evelyn Luiz both of San Rafael; and the late Richard Luiz, Joseph Luiz and Ernest Luiz. Loving uncle of Ernest Luiz, Robert Luiz, Joseph Luiz of Petaluma, Anne Luiz Munk of Cotati and Kathy Luiz Bean of Albany, OR. Also survived by numerous grand nieces and nephews. Born in Napa, CA 84 years ago. A lifelong Marin County dairyman, Bud enjoyed hunting, especially his annual hunting trips to Colorado. He was known for his regular routine of having coffee with friends at the Boulevard Café or Pete's Henny Penny Restaurant in Petaluma. A visitation will be held, Thursday, November 4, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. Family and friends are also invited to meet on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. at the mortuary, thence to St. Vincent de Paul Church, Petaluma, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael, CA. The family prefer memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to your local hospice.
