Alice Zumba Obituary

Alice Lorraine Zumba
April 12, 1936 - March 13, 2025
Alice Lorraine (Shedden) Zumba passed away peacefully at her home in Santa Rosa, CA on March 13, 2025. She was born April 12, 1936 to Evelyn Van Dyke Shedden and Leslie James Shedden in Canton, PA, where she was a graduate of Canton High School.

Ali is survived by daughter Karen Kraszewski (Lee) of Corning, NY; and grandchildren Jessica McElvain (David) of Granby, CO, Stephen Kraszewski (Kate) of Queen Anne, MD, and Andrew Kraszewski (Sonali Rajan) of New York, NY; her brothers Scott Shedden of Canton, PA, and Leo Shedden (Jenny) of Ann Arbor, MI and sister-in-law Maxine Shedden of Canton, PA; special niece Vicki Rachel of Elmira, NY; her great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins; and many dear friends in Santa Rosa and around the country. A special thank you to Cherie for her special care and support for Ali.

She was predeceased by her husbands Thomas Feeney (2002) and William Van Sickle (2009); and brother Davis Shedden (2022).

Ali and husband Tom Feeney were long time residents of Santa Rosa, CA where they enjoyed tending their vineyards, boating on San Francisco Bay, and traveling. She was an active gardener and was devoted to her beloved cats as well as tending to the wild turkeys that visited her patio. Ali was the ultimate hostess, known for hosting afternoon cocktail hours surrounded by friends; and was always welcoming family and friends to her beautiful home. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

To honor Ali, gather with friends and loved ones and raise a glass in her memory. You may also donate to a local animal shelter of your choice.

A memorial service in her hometown of Canton, PA will be announced at a later date.
