Anna Harriette's life ended, in the presence of her husband, from complications of Alzheimer's at Providence Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. She was born in Henryetta, OK, the daughter of Katharine Koch and Anton Koch.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, William Foshee of Windsor, CA, and her children, Katharine Foshee of Chico, CA, Caroline Foshee of Toluca, Mexico, MX, and Marc Foshee of Salt Lake City, UT. Her nephew, John Diaz, and sister-in-law, Susan Huff, live with her husband, David Huff in Bristol, TN.

Anna Harriette graduated from the University of Tulsa as a student of Boyd Ringo and from the University of Kansas in Piano Performance as a student of Angelica Morales von Sauer. Both Angelica Morales and Egon Petri (in the Bay area), continued their coaching throughout the early years.

Her life was dedicated to the practice and playing of classical piano and to her many students throughout the country. She served on the faculties of Oklahoma College For Women (now coed), University of Tulsa, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Oral Roberts University, and Santa Rosa Junior College.

In every location, she would also develop a private studio. She was always pleased that most of the locations requested their faculty give annual recitals. She was always very active in professional organizations that support playing and teaching music.

In addition to arranging on-campus master classes with various professionals, she also took her students to master Classes with Angelica Morales at Bellas Artes in Mexico City and to the San Francisco Conservatory.

After moving to SRJC, Anna Harriette continued to travel and play at International Workshops in Lyon, France, and Glasgow, Scotland.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 5th at 2:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 547 Mendocino Avenue, Santa Rosa.
