April Stucker Obituary

April Marie Stucker, of Santa Rosa, who valiantly fought through over four years of cancer, passed away October 5 at the age of 42. April was a beautiful, kind, gracious, and giving person with a tenderness for young children and animals, especially her dogs Fiona and Pepper. Her illuminating smile and enthusiasm was a gift to others.

April is survived by her close sister and best friend, Aubrey Stucker, her fiancé, Ryan Watson, her Father, Jeff Stucker(Laura Lee), her Mother, Christie Ennis(Gary Ennis), numerous step siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

A graduate of Elsie Allen High School, April worked for over 20 years in the floral department and as a pharmacy tech at the Rohnert Park Safeway and the Sonoma Specialty Hospital in Sebastopol. Through all her work, April made many lasting friends and touched many customers and patients of all ages.

April loved flowers and designing arrangements. A hard worker, April was a fierce believer in exercise, especially running and walking-it was always a challenge to keep up with her. Keenly aware of fashion, design, and quality, April looked beautiful for any occasion. She loved cooking and eating quality home-cooked food. She possessed a keen sense of humor and was able to easily laugh at herself. Recently, April became skilled at blanket knitting, crafting a multitude of beautiful blankets for family, friends and acquaintances. She enjoyed playing cards and board games and was a shrewd competitor.

April courageously and persistently fought her illness, always greeting her doctors, nurses, and other medical staff with her glowing smile and a thank you, without complaints about her treatments, pain or suffering. We hope she and her beloved Chihuahua, Fiona, have been reunited in a meadow of the most beautiful wildflowers.

April is irreplaceable and will be missed by so many. A celebration of April's life will be announced in the near future.

I'm so sorry dear April, to have let you go, but you are no longer suffering any pain or medical procedures. Please give us signs in any way possible--talk with us in many ways, as long as you can. Eventually we will be with you in the greater Universe. Love, Dad
