Bob McKeever Obituary

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Bob McKeever; husband, father, brother, Papa, Uncle Bobby, friend and mentor, who by example showed us the importance of loving one another. A great family man of deep spiritual faith, Bob was the real life "Quiet Man." After retirement he traveled a bit but above all, he loved being at home spending time with his family and working on many projects and helping others. He was a duffer - he would have been better at it if he had kept his head down. Besides being an avid duck hunter, he was a long time 49er "fanatic" and a fine connoisseur of chardonnay and bear claws. As the Northern California Service Repair Manager for Siemens Medical, Bob was a life-long 101 Hwy man. He loved to ski; he loved his ski team. He was a gentle soul who always had time for others. Bob is survived by a whole bunch of people including his wonderful wife Helen, four children and their spouses; Michael and Monica, Pat and Kellie, Lisa, and former husband Tony, Tressa and Michael, and also his five grandchildren; Taylor, Conor, Olivia, Will and Cole who love their Papa. A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Saturday, March 17th at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Parrish, 303 Stony Point Rd. in Santa Rosa. In lieu of flowers donations are requested for Memorial Hospice of Santa Rosa.

To Tressa, Lisa, Mrs. McKeever and all of the McKeever Family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. My father passed away one year ago, also on March 1st. My own experience this past year has been one of deep sorrow but also one of unexpected treasures. The memories others have shared of their time with my father, the unearthing of small mementos and the faith that his love will always be with me. I know what an amazing family you have and how a quiet man can provide a foundation of love that radiates well beyond his lifetime. I know you will find comfort and support in one another, through your vast network of friends and through your Faith, knowing Mr. McKeever has left earth to live eternally in heaven.
I wish you many blessings and a path of light to guide you as you find your way through this difficult time.

Dear Helen and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss, and grieve with you. Be joyful in the midst of your loss, that Bob has returned to his true everlasting home after a temporary stay here with you. He is never gone as he lives in your hearts and memories. The sorrow is being left behind, and missing his presence. My prayers for you, that your grief is tempered by fond memories; and knowing he is, at last, home with God.

To Bob's Family,

Bob and I were good friends during our high school years at St. Ignatius. I even shared my girl friend with Bob. We were a group of four, Bob Burt, Jack Rodden, Bob McKeever, and me. I wish we could have stayed in touch. I will pray for him. Dick Whaley, Palo Alto
