Carl L. Harrison

HARRISON, Carl L. Husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, fire fighter and co-worker, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 19, 2003. His wife Uzella Harrison of Clearlake lovingly survives him. Cherished father of Debbie Wallace of Santa Rosa, Carla Rodgers of Santa Rosa, Ronnie Myers of Vacaville, Karen Reese of Santa Rosa and Lynn Harrison of Santa Rosa. Dear father-in-law of Bob Rodgers of Healdsburg, Deb Myers of Vacaville and Phil Reese of Santa Rosa. Grandfather of 9 and great grandfather of 5. Dedicated to public service, Carl spent 38 years working in various fire departments. He was a fire fighter/inspector for the Santa Rosa Fire Dept., Fire Chief of the Roseland Fire Protection District and Fire Chief of the Rincon Valley Fire Protection District of which he retired just 5 years ago. He belonged to several organizations including the Sonoma County Fire Prevention Officers, California Fire Chief’s Assoc., California Fire Districts Assoc. and the International Assoc. of Fire Chiefs. Carl served as President of the Sonoma County Fire Chief Assoc., Sonoma County Fire Districts Assoc., and the Fire Agencies Self-Insurance System (FASIS). In addition, his hobbies included computers, gardening and traveling in his RV. Most of all he loved being with and helping his family. A Sonoma County resident for 65 years, Carl was 69. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Sunday, March 23, 2003 at 12:00 noon at the DANIELS CHAPEL OF THE ROSES, 1225 Sonoma Ave., Santa Rosa. Interment immediately following at Shiloh District Cemetery, Shiloh Road, Windsor, CA. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2003 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. also at the DANIELS CHAPEL OF THE ROSES.
