de la Forest
Charles Patrick ("Pat") de la Forest, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, died unexpectedly in Santa Rosa on July 31, 2021 with his loving family by his side. Pat was born in Santa Rosa in 1942 to Mary and Charles de la Forest, and had two siblings, John de la Forest and Mary Evans. He attended Bellarmine College Prep High School in San Jose, followed by University of San Francisco and Golden Gate Law School. He has practiced law in Santa Rosa since 1970. Pat married Fran Brulotte in June of 1967, and they had two daughters, Anne de la Forest and Suzanne Wheeler. His greatest joy in life was his three grandchildren, Caden, Keaton, and Camryn Wheeler. Pat was a trusted attorney, a loyal friend, a loving son and brother, a devoted husband and father, and a doting grandfather. Words cannot express how much he will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at a future date to be determined.

Pat was a very good man. I recall first meeting him when I was a young attorney and he was assigned as a judicial arbitrator. He volunteered his time and worked to sort out the matter. It was always apparent to me that he had a deep love for his family and practiced with integrity. Pat was a true professional who treated people fairly. I saw him many times over the years and feel blessed to have known Pat.

I remember spending summers at Aunt Mollie's. It was a great time visiting with Pat, Fran and the girls. Good times and great memories. Love to all.
