Concepcion Leon Obituary

Concepcion Enriquez Leon passed away July 13, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in May 1947 in a small, rural town in Michoacan, Mexico, Concepcion, married in 1971 and had four children. In 1978, Concepcion and her spouse made the decision to relocate to the United States, for better opportunities where they settled in Northern California. Concepcion's life in California was marked by years of dedicated labor, including housekeeping, assembly line work, seasonal harvest in vineyards, and employment as a domestic employee. She also pursued a side business, along with her spouse, in Jewelry for 25 years.
In 2014, Concepcion chose to end her marriage and moved in with her daughter. In 2017, she received a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease and commenced treatment with a team of exceptional medical professionals. Concepcion is widely cherished and respected by her siblings, extended family, and neighbors. Her infectious smile, lively sense of humor, and passion for music bring joy to everyone around her. Prior to the onset of the pandemic, Concepcion actively participated in the Memory Care Day Treatment at Catholic Charities, where she would dance with the volunteers and engage with her fellow participants, earning her the affectionate moniker "dancing queen".
A memorial mass for Concepcion will be held at St. Rose Catholic Church on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 2:00 pm.
