Denise Ishizu Obituary
Denise Maloon Ishizu passed away on January 5, 2022. Denise was proudly fifth generation Californian, born in Lodi, CA, and moved to Petaluma, CA when she was ten years old. Denise was a graduate of Petaluma High School, UC Irvine, and Wagner University. She lived in Japan for nearly 20 years before moving to Hawaii. She loved Jesus, dance, and her family. Denise is survived by her husband of 39 years, Wesley Ishizu, daughters Christina Bolzman (Nicholas) and Alyssa Ishizu, sons Mark Ishizu and Steven Ishizu (Averi), and grandchildren Luthien and Scipio.
A celebration of life service will be held and livestreamed at New Life Christian Fellowship of Petaluma, CA, on April 22 at 6pm PST.

Wesley, I don't know if you remember me. I was your Boy Scout Ass't SM & Scoutmaster of our Troop 12 that met at Wilson Elem. School; and this is going back to the early 1970s. I really enjoyed knowing you. I still remember you having such vibrant, youthful energy held together with blessings of warmth and humor. And I remember your dad, Curley, and what a lovely man he was; I was honored to know him. I am sorry you have met with such a profound loss at this point in your life. I do have to think that your personal faith and your children will continue to be there for you as you heal emotionally. I am now retired from teaching at the high school level, and that was a blessed experience for me. I knew you when I was in my early-to-mid 20s, and now I'm 75 (hard to believe). Do take care of yourself, and do continue to allow life to bestow its many blessings on you and your family.

Gosh have know Denise for quit some time there family was considered our missionaries at Penngrove so they´ve been in our hearts for over 35 years. Denise is greatly missed loving person special lady patient and calm. May our thoughts of Denise give us joy
