With her loving daughters by her side, Diane lost a short unexpected battle with Glioblastoma Brain Cancer on May 8, 2023. She is survived by her three daughters, Leslie, Kimberly and Kelly and their husbands Doug and Roger and her daughter-in-law, Carol. Preceded in death by her son Steven and her husband Randy. She was raised in Sonoma, CA and was the oldest of seven siblings (Richard Sr., Dawn, Bobby, Lance, Tracy and her late sister Sharon) and daughter to the late Virginia and Brad Norgrove. Diane graduated from Sonoma Valley High School in 1961.
During her career, Diane was an LVN nurse in the acute ward at Sonoma Development Center. In her retirement, she served in many ways blessing those she worked with. She served as a Deacon and was a faithful member at the Presbyterian Church of the Roses. When help was needed, she was there. Diane helped managing the Friday morning breakfast program for Montgomery High School students. She was on the Board of Directors and an active member of Kiwanis Club of Healdsburg and Kiwanis Club of Santa Rosa. She volunteered at the Welfare League, Memorial Hospital and Spreckels Performing Arts Center and 6th Street Playhouse.
Diane was known as a kind and friendly person who met people with open arms and she made those around her feel right at home. People felt at peace and welcome in her presence. Anyone who knew Diane, knew that she was happiest when spending time with her family. She looked forward to vacations at Lake Berryessa and Tahoe. Diane also enjoyed spending holidays with family, playing games and going to movies with friends. Her greatest memories were spending time with her ten grandchildren: Brittany, Ashley, April, Kayla, Kristen, Megan, Danielle, Kirsten, Cassidy and Aidan, and her four great-grandchildren: Jayden, Kolton, Lillian and Finola.
Please join us in the Celebration of her Life, August 5th, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Church of the Roses in Santa Rosa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Church of the Roses, St. Joseph Hospice of Petaluma, Welfare League or Kiwanis in her honor.
