Dixon was kind, helpful, smart, patient and a good teacher/advisor. In the 80s & 90s he helped me many times in the sport of rugby - to become a better player and then a better referee. He did so much for so many, typically without fanfare - as he preferred it. RIP old friend. You did well in many ways here on earth!

A life well lived. A gracious host, generous and kind. He will be greatly missed.

A true gentleman. I have very fond memories of Dixon: sailing in San Francisco Bay with my late husband and me many years ago. Squiring next around the city when I visited Novato after the loss of my husband, good company, a great loss to his family and those who were privileged to know him.

Great referee, at that time some 30 to 50 years ago, when on any given Saturday from December till April, games were played at the Polo Fields in Golden Gate Park.
