Dmitri EVDOKIMOFF Obituary

EVDOKIMOFF, II, Dmitri The first Evdokimoff born in America May 6 1952, Dmitri II passed away on April 10th, 2015. Though born an only child, he led an extraordinary life and became an incredible husband and father to his three boys. He lived in numerous places growing from Europe to SF, LA, Colorado, Alaska and Hawaii before he settled down in Sonoma County in 1976. Dmitri worked for the Sonoma County Road Dept. for almost 30 years and took pride in building/maintaining all of the county roads. He retired 13 years ago, and worked at Hobbytown in Petaluma, soon becoming their best customer. He was an exceptional model maker, especially old monster models. He was greatly involved in the community and his son's lives growing up. He coached all 3 of his boys in Little League and became the P.A.L.L. president. He ran for city council and belonged to the Redwood Empire Garden Railway Society, having built a fully functional railway in his backyard. He even participated in Civil War reenactments traveling across the state with his sons to perform. If you knew Dmitri, you know he had commanding presence that followed him, and he's the type of person that lit up the place where ever they went. He was a very loving man, who welcomed anyone into his home with open arms, regardless of who they were. He lived a marvelous, rich life, and is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Claudette, and his three sons, Dmitri III, Louie and Nicholas. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, April 26th at his home. Yippe-yi-yo-ki-yay, Dmit.

I worked with Dee at the Cotati Road Yard. He was a hell of a guy and we became good friends. He was always smiling at work. Dee has passed way too early in life. I will never forget him.
