Dr. Ostrowski was the Best Dentist, you could ask for. He was professional, honest and kind, and someone you could trust. He took me right away when I called in for an emergency.

I am in shock over the sad news of Dr. Ostrowski's passing. I found him to be a kind and gentle dentist, with a great dry sense of humor.
Our sons were in classes together at Goldridge Elementary.

I often thought how grateful I was that my husband and I were so much older than Dr. Ostrowski, that we would be able to go to him forever. We will really miss seeing and visiting with him. He was top notch, a radiating island of happiness that seemed to cheer everyone. So pleased he was in our life.

I was trying to contact Dr Ostrowski while he was away on vacation because my tooth hurt. I was waiting for his return because he is the only one I trust. I was devastated by the news - I just took for granted that he would be there for me. He was the best dentist I have ever met and a lot of fun to talk to. He would get me laughing even while he was working in my teeth! I am going to miss you very much Doug.

Part of me is heartbroken, part of me is worried no dentist can take his place. He was outstanding and compassionate, with a wonderful sense of humor. I was raised with an old fashioned dentist who found children inconvenient at best. Dr. O helped me get over my great fear of dentists and I will ever be grateful. My own kids were raised with Dr. O and have none of my fears. I am sorry to have missed his memorial party. My heart goes out to his wife and kids.

We were both shocked and saddened to hear about Dr. Douglas Ostrowski passing, and we regret not being able to attend his memorial - we received notice on the day it occurred, and after our mail was delivered. My husband has been seeing him since he started around 1985 and the first thing he did was extract all 4 of his wisdom teeth. Ever since then, for over 30 years, he has been seeing him every six months. I have had no problems since 1983 due to his teachings on how to keep them healthy.
For myself, approximately twelve years, and I knew the day I went to him, I would be in excellent care. He is a Professional in every aspect and I looked forward going to see him, every six months also, and I improved in caring for my teeth from his explanations at each visit.
Another thing, he shared with me is that he made the pies for Thanksgiving dinner and was pretty proud.
May God bless his family and Rohnert Park community members who diligently were under his care.

My husband and I just moved here in RP last year but as soon as we started seeing Dr O. as our dentist we right away have all the confidence and trust because of his very professional, caring job he showed. I worked as his assistant for several years and through observing the kind and competent way he delivered dentistry, I was inspired to become a dentist as well. So sad to hear. One of the best old fashioned professionals of our time. Our dentist for over 30 years. Once traveling out of state I had an emergency tooth ache. He treated me from long distance and met me in his office off hours to fix it when I returned to town. The best in his class, gone before his time. You will be missed.

Dr. Ostrowski was our family dentist for years. He was a kind, caring individual. He was so gentle and practical in his recommendations. We always knew we were in the best hands with him and enjoyed seeing him and his team regularly. Dr. O was a gentle, kind man and I am so very sad to hear this news. He was our family dentist for about 25 years. I loved that he had his home phone number on the answering line, in case there was an emergency.

My family and I just found out today that Dr. Owstrowski passed away. My heart sank when I found out. He was my favorite dentist and tended to our dental needs for decades. He was like family to us and my kids never feared going to the dentist (like I did before meeting Dr. O). RIP and my condolences to his family.

Dr. Ostrowski was the best dentist ever. He worked on my teeth for twenty years and always preformed miracles. I always felt safe and well taken care of. The office was a family. I received the letter yesterday and was devastated. He was a pillar of strength for all of us who counted on being taken care of professionally and fairly. I don't even know how I find anyone to replace him. Condolences to the family. Good man!

My family and I were so shocked and saddened to hear of Dr. O's passing. He was truly a man of honor. We always knew he was going to be kind, gentle and trustworthy. I've had a bad history with dentists, but as soon as I started seeing Dr. O, he put me at ease. We loved his sence of humor! This is such a loss for our community--he just always made us feel like he was our small towns dentist. He cared about each person in such a special way.

We are so shocked and sadden,as all of my family are...we just recieved the letter Sat,but didnt get to the mail till today ,...nuts!!! My husband,Ray,and I and our children have been patient's of Dr.Ostrowski for 30 or so years..what a great dentist ,so loving ,kind and caring for each one of us.He truly was a genius at his job...I always told him that,he was like an artist at his craft,he could make or fix any problem.....he never said anything was impossible. ....he always found a way.....a blessing he was to my whole family....I'm so sad......crying and trying to write this.....I just can't believe he's gone. I can't believe he is gone, I have been a patient since the office opened in 1984. I will miss making him laugh and watching him smile every time i came into the office. He was always smiling. My deepest sympathy for Dr Ostrowski's family and friends. He was my dentist for over 20 years and always took care of me, my family and friends. I recommend him to everyone I knew because he was the best and kindest person. I'm saddened that he was taken at such a young age. He loved his family and put his kids through college before he could retire he was taken to early. I'm truly blessed to have known him and have him as my dentist. He had the best staff. Words can not express my heart felt sympathy to Dr. Ostrowski's family. He was the best dentist anyone could ever have.
