MaryAnn Ostrowski passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, at the age of 82. Her passing occurred at home, surrounded by her loving family - just as she had wished.
MaryAnn was a woman who asked very little of others yet gave so much of herself. To those who loved her, she held many cherished roles. For 62 wonderful years, she was a devoted and loving wife to Thomas Ostrowski. She was simply known as "Mom" to her five children: Karen Machajewski, Jane Schoemann, James Ostrowski, Mark Ostrowski, and Mike Ostrowski. She was a beloved mother-in-law to David Machajewski, Tammy Ostrowski, and Martin Schoemann.
She was "Grandma" to her nine grandchildren - Matthew, Amanda, Kaitlin, Brandon, Samuel, Taylor, Maddison, Molly, and Allison - and "Gigi" to her nine great-grandchildren. She was also a dear sister to Ted Cieszynski and Ronald Cieszynski. To many others she was lovingly known as Auntie Marc, Aunt Mary, Marcy, Marc, MaryAnn, sister-in-law, godmother, and friend.
While her family was always at the center of her life, MaryAnn also poured herself into many passions. She was a woman of deep faith and prayer who firmly believed in the power of God. She was incredibly knowledgeable about baseball and a devoted fan of the Milwaukee Brewers. Football Sundays often found her enthusiastically cheering on the Green Bay Packers from the couch.
MaryAnn loved camping, was a master at building campfires, and made legendary pudgy pies. She was known as a formidable Scrabble opponent and could complete crossword puzzles with remarkable ease. She also treasured hosting countless family gatherings and holidays, warmly opening her home to anyone who wished to join. These were moments she cherished most - being surrounded by the love of family and friends.
MaryAnn will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Though we may no longer see the many gifts she gave throughout her life, we will continue to feel them. We will feel her presence when we seek guidance in difficult times, when we need someone to listen, and when we search for understanding. Most of all, we find comfort in believing she is in heaven - watching over us, guiding us, and surrounding us with her enduring love.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 24, at ST. STEPHEN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1441 W. Oakwood Rd., Oak Creek, from 9-10:45 AM, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.
Interment at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Cudahy.
