Mickey "Michael" John Costello
April 7, 1956 – January 14, 2026
Mickey "Michael" John Costello passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2026. He was the loving husband of Kim Costello for 46 years, a proud father to Amber (Shane) Daugherty and Nicholas (Amanda) Costello, and an adoring grandfather to Reagan Keira and Molly Daugherty, and Natalia Costello.
Mickey was preceded in death by his sons, Tony Costello and Vince Costello; his parents, Dolores and Joe Costello; and his brother, Bobby Costello. He was a 1974 graduate of Milwaukee Boys Trade and Technical High School (Tech).
Mickey made an impression wherever he went. Known as a "social chemist," he had a way of connecting with people and making conversations memorable. He also spent many years working as a shuttle driver, meeting people from all walks of life along the way. His humor, honesty, and generosity left lasting memories for those who knew him. Mickey gave countless unforgettable moments and lifelong memories.
Family always came first for Mickey. He created a home filled with love, a backyard pool full of laughter, and a neighborhood that always felt welcome-especially if you were looking for a popsicle. He also enjoyed camping and fishing, proudly chasing "bottle bass" whenever he could.
A celebration of Mickey's life will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM with family eulogies beginning at 3:00 PM at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 3774 E. Underwood Ave. Cudahy, followed by food and drinks at Club Garibaldi from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
Mickey was a camper but not a flower man. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made via Venmo to @Amber-Daugherty-06.
