Edward Gordon Gocha, 79, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born on October 18, 1946, Edward lived a life defined by Service, strength, and deep devotion to his family.

Ed proudly served his country in the United States Army for 23 years. His time in the military shaped the strong sense of discipline, resilience and dedication that those who knew him admired throughout his life. Though he called Milwaukee, Wisconsin his home, his experiences during his years of service broadened his world and left him with stories and memories that he carried with him for the rest of his life.

More than anything, Ed valued his family. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great papa whose presence, guidance and unwavering love meant the world to those closest to him. He took pride in the lives and accomplishments of his family and was always someone they could turn to for wisdom and support.

Ed will be deeply missed by his wife Darleen Gocha (nee Mike), and the family they created together. He is survived by their children Steven, Michelle (Alan) Keefe, Sandy (Michael) Knapp; grandchildren Shane (Brittany), Jade, Hunter, Anna, and Nathan, John J. Johnson Jr, Jackie Wyngaard (Tyler); great-grandchildren Skye, Antonio, Clementine, Easton, Tallulah, Torrance, Isabella and Hudson; and his siblings, Dexter, Charmaine (Plant), and Pierre.

He is preceded in death by his parents Dexter and Angeline (nee Huybers) and lovingly remembered with his grandson Justin.

His family will feel the absence of his steady presence in their lives forevermore but will hold onto the bond of family that Ed valued above all else and the memories he created will continue to comfort those who were fortunate to know him.

Visitation Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 1:00 PM until the time of Memorial Service at 3:00 PM at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 3774 E. Underwood Ave., Cudahy, WI.
