Doug was a kind and caring man who went out of his way to always try to bring a smile to your face. I met Doug on Facebook many years ago and would often talk with him on the phone. I knew he had some medical issues going on, but regardless of the fact he was in constant pain, he would always appear to be in a happy go lucky mood and joke around with not just me, but with any and everyone he crossed paths with in life. Doug will be sadly missed by not just me, but by all of us whom were lucky enough to have known him. May he rest in peace in Heaven with his family.

Did not know Doug personally but chatted with him on FB. I know he was in a lot of pain. He had many questions about his illness. I am glad he is in God's House now. No pain, free to talk about his history in Petaluma. With his mom and dad he loved so much. Peace Doug. You won't be forgotten.

I'm very sorry to hear about Doug, I knew he was struggling medically, but he hid it from me about how serious his condition was. I've known Doug all my life, he is family forever.
