Eugene ALLEN Obituary

ALLEN, Eugene Anthony Passed away peacefully on December 31st, 2015 at the age of 86 in Sebastopol, CA. Born on December 17th, 1929, in San Francisco, CA and he attended San Mateo High School. Gene was a Hospital Corpsman in the Navy during the Korean War and a member of the VFW. In 1987, he began an enjoyable retirement after a 27 year career as a San Francisco fireman. In the mid 70's he was also a part time Bodega Bay commercial salmon fisherman on his boat the "CHUB". Eugene had a great love of the outdoors and spent many fulfilling days boating, hiking, fishing, and pursuing his hobby of photography. He also enjoyed his many friends in the retirement clubs of Autumn Leaves and the Senior 50's Club, CA. Eugene is survived by his supportive and loving wife of 59 years, Bernice Allen; son, John Allen (Mercedes Curiel-Allen); daughter, Deb Titus; his grandchildren, Tony Curiel (Gladys Gamez-Curiel), Brianna Allen (Anthony Ketzer), Jordan Allen, Warren Titus, Megan Titus; and great-grandchildren, Mya and Junior Curiel-Gamez. The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the incredible staff at Apple Valley in Sebastopol, and at Sutter Hospice. Services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Sebastian's Church; located at 7983 Covert Ln, Sebastopol. In lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Anthony's Kitchen.
