Frank Prim Obituary

Frank Norman Prim
Frank Prim passed away peacefully on December 12, 2022, surrounded by family and friends. He was born September 20, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio. After graduating high school, Frank joined the military (Seabees/Navy) where he proudly served for three years. Of the three years, he served two terms in Vietnam where he received a purple heart. Frank moved to CA in 1978, where he met the love of his life Connie at the Bishops Ranch in Healdsburg and settled in Petaluma where they raised their family. He became a union electrician, and worked for the cities of Petaluma, Napa and retiring as Public Works Director for the City of San Rafael.
Frank had many different hobbies that included scuba diving, fly fishing, restoring cars, traveling and impromptu road trips with his wife. He was an active member in AA with sobriety of 42 years, Cursillo, and the Mason's. His sense of humor, jokes and love for his family kept everyone feeling loved and appreciated.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents: Paul and Dorothy and daughter; Lori. He is survived by his wife of 43 years; Connie, his children; Mike (Louise), Jill (Todd), Greg (Holly), Matt (Liana) and his sister; Paulette (Ron), seven nieces and nephews, ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and his companion service dog; Stella.

Frank was my Division Manager at the City of Napa some 30 years ago and although he was my "Boss", he was a good friend. Rest well Frank, you will be missed!

I didn't know Mr. Prim, but I recognized the name from conversations around the dinner table. My dad worked for the City of Petaluma for 35 years and he would share names and stories of co-workers he was very fond of.
May you R.I.P.
