Helen Regnery Obituary
August 25, 1948 - January 22, 2019
Helen Regnery passed away peacefully in the arms of loved ones on Tuesday January 22, at home in Windsor, California after suffering from Alzheimer's for many years. Helen was born in Palo Alto, California and was raised in Los Altos with her siblings, Frank, Rolland and Charlotte. A 1966 graduate of Los Altos High School, Helen earned a degree in Kinesiology from Cal State San Francisco and in Physical Therapy from Cal State Northridge. While living in Southern California she met and married her beloved wife, Sandra Peace. After moving to Windsor, Helen loved her job as a Home Health Physical Therapist. She was a gifted athlete, avid golfer, and with Sandra enjoyed trips to Mexico, England, Italy, Las Vegas, and Hawaii. Helen was predeceased by her brother Frank and their parents, Mega and Reg Regnery. She is survived by her wife Sandra Peace, brother Rolland Regnery (Roxanne), sister Charlotte Martin (Bob), seven nieces and nephews and six great-nieces and nephews, and her precious dog Cinnamon. Helen will be remembered for her joy of life, infectious laugh, determination and strength. Mele and Siga cared for Helen for the last six years of her life, providing unwavering patience, love and support for her and Sandra. We will always be grateful to them.
A celebration of Helen's life will be held on Februayr 2 at 2:00 in their home in Windsor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations in Helen's memory be made to your local Alzheimer's Association.

I remember Helen well from high school and the neighborhood. She stood out and was remarkable for both her strength of character and her athletic abilities. I admired her for staying true to herself at a time when it couldn't have been easy. Over the years I've wondered what became of her and am saddened to learn of the Alzheimers. Condolences to her siblings and partner Sandra.
