Jaime Jeremy Molden, a beloved husband, father, son, and physician, passed away peacefully at home on October 18, 2024, surrounded by his family, after a ten-month battle with gallbladder cancer. He was 50 years old.

Jaime was born on November 4, 1973, in San Diego, California, while his father, Jim, was serving aboard a submarine during the Vietnam War. His early years were spent in Hawaii before the family settled in Arroyo Grande, CA. Jaime's passion for music flourished from a young age. A talented musician, he played the guitar, piano, trombone, and baritone. In his younger days, he channeled this passion into performing with a punk-rock band that toured nationally. Music remained an important part of Jaime's life, providing him with comfort and reflection even as his journey led him toward science and medicine.

Jaime's thirst for knowledge and passion for science led him to earn a degree in Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. After working in a lab in San Francisco conducing HIV research, he found his true calling in medicine. Jaime attended the University of Chicago's medical school, followed by training in cardiology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He further specialized with an advanced fellowship in electrophysiology at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles.

As a dedicated cardiologist and electrophysiologist, Jaime combined his expertise with unparalleled compassion, always seeking to heal his patients and share his knowledge with peers. Known as a lifelong learner and a gentle teacher, he was deeply admired by patients and colleagues alike. His work embodied the same love and generosity that defined his personal life, driven by a desire to make a lasting difference in the lives he touched.

In 2016, Jaime married Lindsay in a beautiful ceremony beneath the redwood trees in their backyard in Healdsburg, CA. Together, they built a life filled with love, adventure, and family, welcoming two sons, Nikko James (5) and Ren Thomas (3), who were the light of Jaime's life. In addition to his wife and sons, Jaime is survived by his parents, Jim and Holly Molden.

Whether skiing in the mountains or surfing the waves, Jaime found peace in nature. The mountains and the sea were his sanctuaries, places where he felt most alive and free. From his earliest years in Hawaii to adulthood, the sea called to him, offering joy, renewal, and reflection. Equally at home on the slopes, he carved through fresh powder with the same grace he brought to riding waves.

Jaime's legacy extends far beyond his career. He was a devoted father who adored his boys, a loving husband, a peacemaker, and a friend to all. He had a remarkable ability to uplift those around him, inspiring confidence and comfort in the people whose lives he touched. Jaime was known for his warmth, wit, kindness, and charm. His easygoing nature made everyone feel seen and heard, and his quick humor brightened the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. Jaime's calm presence, deep empathy, and listening ear made everyone feel understood and valued. A man of deep integrity and quiet strength, he approached life with honesty and compassion, always putting others first even in the midst of his illness with unwavering selflessness.
