Joe will always hold a special place in my heart. He was my first "real boss". The year was 1988, I was only 28, single mother of three with no job skills. He hired me as a bartender for both Negri's and eventually, Altamont. I remember those days with fondness. Blessing to you Joe as you go on your path. Blessings to your family at this time of sadness- Gloria Strasburg

Joe was my second father. He would give me his racing credential for the Sonoma County Fair every year and make sure I had a cold beer in front me when I got back to his bar. He was truly, as my father would say, a MAN among men.
