I so remember Mr . Weeks when I attended Analy High School.
I was a Majorette in My Freshman Year. I remember Twirling my baton at Halftime to the music of the Analy Band under the direction of Mr. Weeks.
I remember as a majorette ...He always had a smile on his face, and gave so much of himself in teaching music to the Band members.
He was very professional and patient in teaching for his technical halftime performances.
My Brother....Mark Smothers was in the band and played the Trumpet.
Mark also played in the Jazz Band under the direction of Mr. Weeks. I remember Mark and Clair Mello where at the top of the Trumpet positions fluctuating between first and second trumpet positions.
I enjoyed all the performances at halftime with the formations performed from Band Members and the Majorettes for the football games.
My condolences to the family of Mr. weeks.
He will never be forgotten from his students that were under his direction as a music teacher.!!
God Bless the family

The John Weeks family. We both had Jack as a teacher. Greg had him for his first year at Analy High. He flunked the test to memorize the National Anthem. A valuable lesson learned. Greg did march in several East-West Shrine games with the band at Kezar Stadium. Diana was Jack's librarian. What a goody two shoes. She played the French Horn and received many honors playing for Jack.

An amazing man! So many memories of the Analy Band days and the joy and humor he brought to the mundane. I´ve thought of him often throughout the years and the effect he´d had on my life. Even not seeing him in so many years I miss not having him in this life. (He even taught me to drive back in the Driver´s Ed days!)
My thoughts and prayers are with his family...

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I was lucky enough to have Mr. Weeks all through high school (1963 -1967). I learned a lot about music and went on the play in the SRJC and Chico State bands. I began teaching in 1972 (PE and coaching), in 1985 I became the Auxiliary director for the Porterville Panther Band under world renowned director, Buck Shaffer for 5 years and under the new director, Jim Kusserow for almost 30 years. I owe all my experience with starting with Mr. Weeks. I wish I had kept in contact with him and the family. My condolences.

I remember him as a man of great patience & courage, with eyes as I think back I realized was the actual look of fear. I know this because unfortunately for Mr. Weeks, he was my drivers Ed instructor before I turned 16 in 1970.
